Specialist Studies

Specialist postgraduate studies are part of the concept of lifelong education, and they, above all, increase professional knowledge, skills and competences. The University of Zagreb School of Medicine organizes specialized postgraduate studies as a compulsory part of some specialization or as a separate study. They last one year (60 ECTS).

The postgraduate study is completed by passing all the examinations, composing the final paper and/or passing the appropriate final examination according to the study program. Persons who complete the specialized studies acquire a title according to the Law on Academic and Professional Titles and Academic Degrees and the List of academic titles and degrees and their abbreviations of the Rectors’ Conference.
