Centre for Palliative Medicine, Medical Ethics and Communication Skills of the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, founded in 2010, is a scientific‐educational and professional organizational unit of the Institu‐ tion which carries out activities in the field of palliative medicine, medical ethics, communications skills and provides professional‐advisory opinions and expertise. The Center has developed an international network of collaborating institutions with an aim to develop an organized system of palliative care in Croatia. The Center also has been active in education of professionals who work with the terminally‐ill patients, or are engaged in projects related to establishment of palliative care units throughout Croatia. Additionally, the Center has also been recognized in public through a series of actions coordinated with the Croatian Society of Palliative Medicine, the Croatian Center for Palliative Care, NGOs, the Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Music Academy, etc. (With Communication against Pain, Stay with Me).
